Kenya

Aha, is it true - no one has written about Kenya yet...at least not in the 'places' link. So..we (Altons) spent 6 years there, 1980 - late 86.... and I am beginning to find 'randem' photos...not the posed HDTI versions, but the 'way life really was' photos. I'll be sharing what I am finding now, and likely more as I pry them from my daughter's files...they who have pilfered them away! Kawangware and Kamweleni.... where stories are still emerging. Kamweleni now becoming a high school with the assistance of John Rupert Barnes, Kawangware with a very 'up market' market, and the scene of movies. Weddings held (the Philbrooks!), babies born (Kay,Lloyd, Lela...) sad times (Myrtle Roy), scary moments (John Cock Jr.!!)... wild successes (replication!), natural intrusions (the Kamweleni fire), spiritual inventions (Buddhist approach to village development). All embedded in our family story. Kay born there, the Philbrooks, Charles Lingo, the Wiegels, the Oylers, the Mwamoses and on and . All in our story, and who we are.
